The most profitable ideas to start selling NOW on TikTok

Combining your hobbies and interests with a business is a great idea. I’ve tried all of these ideas and it’s all my own experience. I use them to make a secondary income. However, you can always turn it into something much bigger for yourself!

Here are some clever and artistic ways to earn income while you’re at home!

It’s a new trend that emerged around the middle of last year and is doing incredibly well. While you can make an array of things with resin from jewelry, jewelry displays, cake stands, phone cases, and more, coasters are the most popular right now.

I admit this is not a cheap project to start with. Most resin coaster kits are around $50 and include everything you need – resin and hardener, mica (colorant for resin), coaster mold, heat gun (for the bubbles), the flakes of gold leaf. However, these kits will allow you to make a lot of ribs and generally they are sold for around $20 for a set of 4 on eBay. Moreover, it is a fun project and does not invest too much time depending on the design you choose. It is simply a matter of mixing the mica into the resin, then pouring it into a coaster mold and waiting 24 hours for it to dry.

No need to get too fancy with your packaging and waste your money. Cardstock wrappers with a ribbon tied around them look great and have a homemade feel.

I have been painting for a few years just for fun. It started with a painting gift for Mother’s Day and I ended up selling my paintings on Facebook Marketplace.

You might think you have to have amazing skills to make a painting good enough, let alone sell one! Not true, at all. There are tons of Youtube videos for beginner painters who have never painted in their life. One of my favorite videos is this Nightmare Before Christmas painting of Jack and Sally. Cinnamon Cooney, whose own channel sherpa art focuses on painting tutorials for painters of all skill levels, it’s a great source for learning how to paint exceptional pieces.

She loves cartoon paintings (but covers all kinds of paintings) and it’s great movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas that have serious fans who will come after you once you post this list. You don’t need to know how to paint the most detailed painting in France to sell your art. Seriously, it’s not as hard as it looks.

I’ve seen these nifty candles popping up all over the Facebook Marketplace. There is an endless amount of designs and scents you can create to always differentiate yourself from your competitors.

One of the best things about starting a candle business is that there aren’t huge upfront costs and it’s a very profitable niche.

sheri vegas has great tutorials on making candles. Take a look at his channel for inspiration.

If you love candles, why not give it a shot? So be creative! Try different candle moulds, scents and colors

Since setting up a website is quite expensive, especially if you are starting a business, you can set up an Etsy shop. It is an e-commerce platform where you sell your handmade items or the crafts you make. Many entrepreneurs choose this route because it’s economical, easy to set up, and they can link to their Etsy shop on their blog.

If that’s not an option for you, like in my case because we don’t have Etsy in my country, then Facebook Marketplace should be a better option. The only downside to selling on the Marketplace is that you usually have to meet your customers in person, unlike Etsy where packages are mostly mailed.

So if you’re not working and stuck at home, or just have some free time, why not start thinking about the kinds of crafts you can do in your free time. From there, you can create a blog and start showcasing your handmade items! Who knows, it might even turn into something much bigger in the future.

Do you plan to pursue any of these ideas? If yes which ? Good luck and let me know in the comments!
