Daniela Melchior is a successful Portuguese actress. She first made waves when she starred in James Gunn The Suicide Squad. Melchior is currently on vacation in the Dominican Republic and has just shared a stunning new photo on Instagram. In an interview with Schon Magazine, Melchior revealed that she was undergoing therapy. She says that at the start of the pandemic, she decided to become more in tune with herself. “I prefer to get to know myself. I know it’s a cliché, but I started doing therapy. I started meditating to be more focused on myself, my family and my friends. And I I’m really happy. It’s also really important for me as an actor to know myself — because if I don’t know myself, I won’t be able to work to the fullest of my emotions and everything that I am… I don’t I don’t know if I can say it in English. But, my skills are myself. It’s me. It’s my body. It’s my face and my emotions. So right now, I’m focused on me, and I read as much as I can and I watch movies. Yeah. I’m a normal person.”

Melchior revealed some of his wellness secrets to Byrdie. She says she likes to practice meditation. “I found that sometimes when I was a little more stressed it consumed me. So I downloaded a meditation app on my phone [Insight Timer]. When I was in the States, I used to meditate in the morning – like guided meditations, to be present and positive – and I slept because my mind was racing and thinking about everything, even though my life was amazing.”

Melchior shared her skincare routine with Byrdie. “My skincare routine has gone from a moisturizer and eye cream to a multi-step routine. And I love it. It’s really good because it makes sense. I was trying to pay more attention to my skin type. I always cleanse [my face], and I always remove my makeup. In the morning I do toner, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, but only when my skin needs it because sometimes it makes me break out. After hyaluronic acid, I put moisturizer, eye contour cream. And sunscreen all the time, even if I stay home, because it’s so important.”

Melchior enjoys cycling to stay in shape. She went for a late night ride on a trip to Milan, Italy. She shared these highlights on Instagram. Melchior captioned the post, “Eat pasta > drink Passito > ride a bike > repeat. According to Better Health, “cycling can help protect you against serious illnesses such as stroke, heart attack, certain cancers, depression, diabetes, obesity, and arthritis.”

Melchior learns to practice yoga to stay in shape. She shared this series of photos on Instagram of herself doing different poses. In them, Melchior is in a cobra and warrior pose, as well as a sun salutation. She captioned the post, “Newbie.” The American Osteopathic Association reports, “Besides the physical benefits, one of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person deal with stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind.”
