In this month of October, the Architecture Center and the AIA New York celebrated the Common Bond: The Center for Architecture gala. Formerly known as the Heritage Ball, the annual event invites architects, designers and industry professionals to come together to celebrate New York’s historic architecture and provide people with the opportunity to connect, network and raise funds.

Every year, Common Bond recognizes and rewards architecture students with scholarships to help them on their academic journey. This year, two undergraduate students and one graduate student received a $3,500 scholarship.

“As an industry, we struggle to retain talent, as high debt after graduation forces many promising designers to leave our professions. Investing in these bright young people while they are still school can make the difference between them to build a career in our land or not,” Common Bond organizers shared.
